The integration of several business services into one platform was one of the greatest challenges since it involved a consistent user experience. There were various workflows and operational needs for procurement, equipment repair, laboratory services, training, analysis, and vendor management.
Authentication was also a challenge, as users had to access multiple connected applications and services without having to log in to different ones repeatedly. Platform-to-platform authentication needed to be carefully planned for a seamless experience.
As dental practices, vendors, service providers, transactions, and workflows became more complicated, so did the way they have to deal with each other. The platform had to be capable of handling high volumes of interconnected data. The platform needed to be able to process high volumes of data; it was all interrelated and needed to perform well and be reliable.
Reporting was also difficult, as business intelligence (BI) dashboards had to ingest operational and financial data from multiple sources and deliver useful information for practice owners and administrators.
